The Bird is the Word

I have a deep love for these flying creatures,  and all that they symbolize. Although I am quite happy being a human, I wouldn’t mind being able to spread my wings and fly some days. These little guys were quick, but some of them were kind enough to stop and pose for a picture.

Winter Wonderland

Snowed in 30 miles from the nearest Walmart can have its problems, but it also calls for a wonderful white getaway. While trapped in my parents house a little north of Appomattox Virginia, I snapped a couple of photos of the ten inches of snow covering the once colorful landscape.

City Lights

It was a cold night in downtown Lynchburg. I was wrapped up with warm gloves, a pile of sweats, and a beanie sitting lopsided on the top of my head. I was determined to get a few pictures of the bright lights and modern pizazz. Night pictures aren’t always my best, but some turn out to be among my favorites. So enjoy these semi-hipster photos, so my cold aching body can feel some kind of reward.

On the Tracks

There is something about train tracks that draws my attention. Whether it’s their long history of being the well traveled path for large engines, or their simple yet elegant design. These particular tracks run right outside my backdoor, and gather my attention more often than normal. The sky was perfect for the evening of pictures, and the lack of trains kept me from being a pancake.
